Lawyers don\u2019t always have the best reputation. In public polls that ask people which professions they respect or trust the most, lawyers generally come in slightly above members of Congress. That\u2019s not great, especially when you think about how the current Congress has approval ratings roughly on par with bird flu. Lawyers are seen as amoral and heartless, but that\u2019s not really fair. The fact is, there are a lot of lawyers out there who are working to make the world a better place. You may even need to hire such lawyers one day. And while they may not love how their profession is viewed by the public, they\u2019re generally too busy serving their clients to think too much about their popularity levels.<\/p>\n
