It\u2019s not like the UK, where the bulk of laws are governed centrally and don\u2019t deviate from city to city.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, a US Chamber of Commerce Federation <u><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/uschamberfoundation.org\/smallbizregs\/\">Small Business Regulation Study<\/a><\/u> stated there were an estimated 90,106 state and local governments in the United States, each with their own varied authority to promulgate rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<h3>Boston ranked best for entrepreneurial growth two years in a row<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/surge-cities\/best-places-start-business.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-3.jpg\" alt=\"The best cities for entrepreneurs to expand to in the US 3\" width=\"1270\" height=\"730\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-33111 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-3.jpg 1270w, https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-3-768x441.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-3-1024x589.jpg 1024w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1270px) 100vw, 1270px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1270px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1270\/730;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In its most recent <u><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uschamberfoundation.org\/sites\/default\/files\/media-uploads\/ITM%202017.pdf\">Innovation That Matters report<\/a><\/u>, the US Chamber of Commerce highlighted five cities as \u2018the best places to do business.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 report ranked Boston as the best city in the US for fostering entrepreneurial growth for the second year in a row, edging out the San Francisco Bay area.<\/p>\n<p>Boston earned the top ranking based on startup density and capital access and got high marks for talent access and connectivity. The presence of top universities was said to produce a steady stream of new tech talent, whilst the city government offered strong levels of support.<\/p>\n<p>Ranked second was the Bay Area (San Francisco) followed by Philadelphia, San Diego and Austin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/2017\/best-cities-to-own-real-estate-2017\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-1.png\" alt=\"The best cities for entrepreneurs to expand to in the US 1\" width=\"955\" height=\"549\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-33112 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-1.png 955w, https:\/\/www.andysowards.com\/blog\/assets\/The-best-cities-for-entrepreneurs-to-expand-to-in-the-US-1-768x441.png 768w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 955px) 100vw, 955px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 955px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 955\/549;\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Best Cities to Own Real Estate in 2017<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The study examined the health of the startup communities in 25 American cities and assessed their readiness to capitalize on the shift to an increasingly digital economy, with a unique focus on what were referred to as \u201cnext-wave startups.\u201d<br \/>\nFoothold America, which specialises in helping firms set up in the US, took that a step further and created <u><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.footholdamerica.com\/blog\/america-business-map\/\">a map of the best places to do business in the States by industry<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>It took the 25 cities highlighted in the Innovation That Matters report and used data to pinpoint the specialist professions and industries to be found in each of those locations to identify where those products and services were already strong.<\/p>\n<p>Boston\u2019s specialist industries were identified to be finance, life sciences, academia, tech and business services. --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1200\/800;\" \/><br \/>\n<em>America\u2019s Up And Coming Tech Boom Cities<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The search for an American base for your business should not, however, be narrowed to the more \u2018obvious\u2019 cities and states.<\/p>\n<p><u><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.footholdamerica.com\/blog\/popular-us-states-incorporate-in\/\">Wyoming is becoming popular for businesses<\/a><\/u> looking to incorporate, due, in part, to its extremely low rate of taxation, an absence of business licence fees and emphasis on privacy and asset protection.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately in choosing where best to establish your business there are many factors to consider relating to the regulations of each state, where your customers are likely to be and the sector you are in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Expanding to America makes a lot of sense &#8211;
