Do you love gaming? Are you hoping to make money off your abilities one day? It’s not easy to become a pro gamer, but with a few essentials, you’ll be on your way to a successful career. Here’s what you’ll need to buy and budget for if you want to a pro.<\/p>\n

A Gaming Computer<\/h3>\n

If you’re hoping to be a pro gamer, you probably already have a computer, but you’ll need an excellent gaming computer to be the best gamer. Many people like to build their own gaming computer so they can customize it to their liking. Plus, it’s pretty fun to build your own. You can pretty easily discover\u00a0how to build a gaming PC<\/a>\u00a0and what you’ll need.<\/p>\n

Expect to purchase a processor or CPU, a motherboard, a graphics processing unit (GPU), memory or RAM (random access memory), storage, cases, a monitor (some people like having two), and a few other things. Since you’re building it from scratch, you’ll have to supply every aspect of the computer, including the mouse and keyboard.<\/p>\n

Plus, since you’re using it for gaming, you’ll need high-quality materials. For a good gaming computer, you can expect to\u00a0spend\u00a0<\/a>between $1,000 and $2,000, whether you build it or buy it.<\/p>\n

High-Speed Internet<\/h3>\n

Your Internet\u00a0connection\u00a0<\/a>is extremely important if you’re hoping to stream your games on Twitch or elsewhere. That’ll give you the best connection and allow you to run your games without any lag (which in gaming is a huge no).\u00a0Sprint Internet<\/a>\u00a0can hook you up with a great connection, and you can use an ethernet cable to make sure you’re hardwired into the Internet.<\/p>\n

Ethernet is more reliable and faster than wifi. You should budget about $100 a month for high-speed Internet. Do a comparison of providers in your area like AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint and see who can offer you the best speed. You’ll find that Sprint has great service at a low cost, which can leave you more money for your computer (or just snacks while you play).<\/p>\n

To actually play many games, you’ll need to subscribe. The cost of the subscriptions can vary from game to game. You’ll also need to factor in other subscription costs, like Twitch. It’s free for you to stream on Twitch, but if you like to support your fellow gamers or learn from them, you might end up paying to subscribe to peoples’ channels. The important thing to remember no matter what is that these costs add up and you should always include any expenses in your budget.<\/p>\n

Desk and Chair<\/h3>\n

As a pro gamer, you spend a lot of time on your computer. It’s a good idea to purchase a high-quality desk and\u00a0chair\u00a0<\/a>and make sure they’re up to your standards. An excellent gaming chair could cost you a few hundred dollars, but you’ll be extremely comfortable.<\/p>\n
