But what many people don\u2019t know is that there is lots of incredible technology that is making the construction industry set for growth over the next few years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know that technology helps to engage customers, makes processes smoother, reduces costs, and speeds up the time the projects take. Typically these have to be eyeballed and guessed based on the information available about the material used and the site itself.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are now technologies that offer structural monitoring that can predict the stability of a structure and any structural issues before they happen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The technology can be used for mines, rockfalls, and many other surfaces &#8211; offering a safer working environment for crews.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">VR and AR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/infinigeek.com\/whats-the-difference-between-ar-and-vr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/infinigeek.com\/assets\/difference-between-ar-and-vr-tech-1-710x434.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"513\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 840px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 840\/513;\" \/><\/a><figcaption><em>What\u2019s the Difference Between AR and VR?<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Augmented reality and virtual reality are allowing construction companies to show \u2018finished\u2019 projects to stakeholders and investors as well as have a run-through of the building site ahead of placing any machinery on there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where once there would be whole crews and the project leaders arriving to inspect the site, ahead of moving in the <a href=\"https:\/\/freogroup.com.au\/hire\/heavy-lift-cranes-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">heavy lift crane<\/a> and bulldozers, a structure walk-through can be done from the office.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also means that there is a more real-time visual of the progress that has been made, as well as a range of simulations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Artificial Intelligence&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the biggest advancements in the construction industry is the implementation of AI. A high cost that most construction projects will face is delays and extensions to the project. Back support, whole-body suits, arm, and shoulder support, or power gloves can all be used to improve how crew members can do their job.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two types of the exoskeleton are in use and that is electrical and mechanical &#8211; one can enhance strength, and the other redistributes the weight to reduce strains.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Robots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Using humanoid robots and other automated machines, there is less pressure put on the human crew.
