This week we got a chance to spend some time with Omnisend and if you are an ecommerce store owner, or a marketer that sends emails (and who isn’t doing this these days?), or both – then listen up, we’ve got a service that you might be overlooking (and you might even like it better than Mailchimp – yeah we went there.)

One of the biggest requests I get from ecommerce clients is how to implement a way to get customers to return to the store and buy more related items – well setting that up is quick and easy in Omnisend with their automated email and SMS workflows.
Another big one is pulling in products to use in email newsletters – almost impossible before it’s super easy with their drag-and-drop email builder – you can even use the Product Picker to directly import your store products and all the details for super personalized emails!
Speaking of personalization you can go even further with segments that allow you to engage customers based on any criteria, behavior and actions they’ve taken. You’ve seen it in action inside your own inbox with big stores like Best Buy and Target – now take advantage of this powerful feature set in your own online ecommerce business!
Everything you are used to having in email marketing software is there too so signup forms are a breeze to setup and come in multiple types, trigger rules and field customization options. We were pleased to see real time sales information inside Omnisend as well so you can truly get a handle on your business’s pulse – in real time!

That is exactly the first thoughts that came to mind when we were logging in for the first time. We’ve been using Mailchimp for years now and it is easy to see yourself hitting a wall there and needing more. Here is just a taste of the “more” that we are talking about inside Omnisend:

Pricing is a big pain point for entrepreneurs starting out in ecommerce – I know when I started my blogs I enjoyed the free accounts but once my list reached a seemingly normal number of 2000+ subscribers the prices skyrocketed! Here it’s pretty straightforward in that the free plan gives you 15,000 emails (limited functions) per month (or 2000 emails per day) which in my opinion is enough for most people starting out. Standard plans from $ 10 a month – the monthly cost is based on your subscriber numbers on your email list which is a fair and balanced approach. For the really big lists out there they offer a PRO plan with with all functionalities, dedicated account manager and unlimited emails $ 199 a month.
The best news is that if you purchase your plan on an annual basis you get 20% off of those rates, great deal in our opinion. Don’t take our word for it though, get in on their 14 day free Trial! Once you connect your online store to an Omnisend account, you’ll get 14-day Trial (no credit card required). After the trial is over, you can either downgrade to Free plan (with 15,000 emails/month) or upgrade to a paid plan.
We feel that the industry surrounding email marketing is changing rapidly and a lot of people are tired of their old email newsletter software (we know we were) – if you are having the same feeling then it’s time to switch.
Is Omnisend the right choice for you? Only you can decide that – while we have tried to illustrate all of the points we felt when trying out this software we know that every store, and every store owner is different. Give it a try, you’ve got nothing to lose – if you find it’s a right fit for you then great! We personally would choose this for ecommerce stores over any other offering we’ve tried so far just because it’s so easy to integrate into your current store and seeing results doesn’t take long with the robust features and reporting offered here.
